How can we be half way through August already?! New and exciting things are on the horizon for the Crofton Center Center. The importance of this venue for Crofton community residents of all ages to gather for food, fellowship, and fun is a priceless treasure. The Senior Center is excited to move into the future with the help and support of the community.
The Senior Center is thankful for the many donations of napkins, coffee, and garden produce. All are welcome. The Center is also in need of a few office supples including standard 8 & 1/2 x 11 white copy paper and white-out correction tape.
We want to thank those who have supported the Crofton Senior Center with donations and memorials throughout the past 50 years, as well as those who have stepped up to volunteer by answering the phone, sitting at the desk, taking reservations, and delivering meals.
As the Center moves forward into the future, we applaud those who have given and who continue to give of their time serving in different capacities to help the Center run smoothly. The Senior Center would not be able to function without our wonderful volunteers. Please consider volunteering some of your time to help in your local community by sharing your gifts and talents. The Center needs willing volunteers as we transition with the changes taking place this month.
Once again, the Crofton Senior Center will be sponsoring the City Wide Garage Sales in conjunction with the Annual Car Show coming to town on Saturday, August 23rd. (Some Garage Sales will begin on Friday, August 22nd , so watch for the listing in a future edition of the Crofton Journal) The Center will offer tables for rent in the City Auditorium, as well. Entry forms are available at F&M State Bank, Peoples Grocery, Shop On 2nd, and at the Crofton Senior Center. Get in on the action. Clean out your garages and closets, have a sale, have some fun, and pick up some extra cash while supporting the Senior Center.
